Motorist registered dangerous level of alcohol in drive-in queue

A 58-year-old man risks losing both his driving licence and his car after he was stopped by a patrol on Tuesday at 12.28 at a fast-food chain on Paderup Boulevard in Randers, according to B.T.

East Jutland Police had received a report from a member of the public prior to the arrest, who suspected the motorist of drink-driving. Officers spotted the vehicle whilst it was in the drive-in queue.

"The officers directed the 58-year-old motorist to the side and had him blow into a breathalyser," East Jutland Police said in its latest daily report.

"When he blew a reading of over 2.0 per mille on two occasions, he was arrested and charged with drink-driving."

Due to the high alcohol level, the matter is classified as dangerous driving, and the man's car was seized with a view to confiscation. He also underwent a blood test to determine his exact alcohol level.
