The National Police received on Tuesday at Las Américas International Airport Claudio Sebastián Grullón Liriano, alias "El Mello", extradited from Spain to face charges for his alleged participation in a double homicide, according to elnuevodiario.com.do.
The accused had remained at large in Spanish territory until his location and subsequent capture. His transfer to the country was carried out in compliance with an arrest warrant and an international red notice.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident took place on 20 January 2021 in the Espaillat district of Santiago de los Caballeros. Two men died in the incident and three other people were wounded by gunfire.
