The National Police arrested two men linked to armed robberies in the National District and Santo Domingo Oeste after tracking their vehicle through surveillance cameras.

The National Police apprehended two men identified as Brayan and Víctor, indicated as members of a criminal organisation responsible for several armed robberies in sectors of the National District and Santo Domingo Oeste, diariolibre.com reported on Friday.
The arrest followed an investigation that included monitoring via video surveillance cameras, which enabled the authorities to identify the vehicle allegedly used to commit the crimes: a Honda CR-V.
According to the Police, both detainees reportedly admitted their participation in the incidents and indicated the identity of a third implicated person, known as "Morenito", who remains at large and is being sought by the authorities.
During the operation, a Glock 19 generation 5 pistol with high-capacity magazine, seven mobile telephones and 133,000 pesos in cash were seized. Additionally, two items of yellow gold jewellery were voluntarily recovered, which will be returned to their legitimate owners in accordance with due process.
The institution indicated that Brayan and Víctor will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
