In Santo Domingo Este, members of the Ucaprec—a specialised unit for locating fugitives and absconders—arrested an individual identified as Ruvil De León. The apprehension was made in compliance with a court order that indicates his alleged responsibility for a fraud committed against two citizens during the previous year in that same sector. The offences attributed to him include the production and use of forged documents, criminal association and fraud. The arrest warrant was issued by magistrate Máximo C. Roa Saint Hilaire, who found that there are grounds to consider that the suspect could evade the action of justice. In the coming hours he will be brought before the corresponding courts so that the procedural restrictions to be applied to him can be determined.

Judge Julio César Araujo Díaz ordered her immediate admission to the female penitentiary centre in Rafey, without the need for additional procedures.
In the province of Puerto Plata, a panel of judges presided over by magistrate Jakayra Veras imposed a sentence of two decades of imprisonment on Leocadio Cruz Peralta, known as "Papo". The verdict finds him guilty of repeatedly subjecting a 16-year-old young woman to sexual acts, causing her considerable physical, mental and emotional harm. The prosecution was led by prosecutor Carmen Daynisa Rosario, while during the oral proceedings prosecutor Jesús Ernesto Valenzuela presented compelling evidence of the pattern of criminal conduct. The sentence must be served at the San Felipe correctional centre in that coastal locality, based on what is established in both general criminal regulations and in legislation on comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.
In another case, the judges of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal of the National District upheld a sentence originating in May 2018 against Manuel Abel Rodríguez Reyes. The convicted person was found responsible for committing fraud in the supply of electricity, harming both the public administration and the company Edesur Dominicana. The prosecution was led by José Lenin Hernández, who succeeded in proving the infraction of Law 125-01, concerning the energy sector.
