The National Police is investigating the double homicide of two youths, known as "El Chino" and "Migue", whose bodies were found with bullet wounds and signs of being hit by a vehicle on the Los Casabes road.

Two youths were found dead on the Los Casabes road, Jacagua sector, in the municipality of Santo Domingo Norte, according to a statement from the National Police. The law enforcement institution stated that it is deepening its investigation to clarify the circumstances in which the events occurred.
In preliminary findings, the victims were identified as Ángel Miguel Rosario de la Cruz, nicknamed "El Chino", aged 16, and Miguel Ángel, known as "Migue". Both bodies bore injuries caused by gunshots, as well as various traumatic injuries which, according to the medical examiner's assessment, are consistent with being struck by a large vehicle.
At the crime scene, personnel from the Scientific Police collected physical evidence including three nine-millimetre shell casings and a grey cap bearing the "NY" logo. This evidence will be analysed as part of the investigation.
The remains were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding medical-legal examinations. In parallel, the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), together with the Public Prosecutor's Office and forensic specialists, continues with proceedings to fully confirm the identity of the deceased, reconstruct how the events occurred and identify those responsible for the crime.
The National Police reiterated that the case is under investigation and committed to providing further information as the inquiries progress.
