Death on Mendoza Road: National Police opens investigation
According to noticiassin.com, the National Police are investigating the circumstances of a violent incident recorded Tuesday morning on Mendoza Road, near La Grúa sector, in Santo Domingo Este, which left a young man dead and another person injured.
The fatal victim was identified as Jeremy Moisés Arias, 21 years old. The second person involved, still in the process of identification, is receiving medical attention at a health centre where he remains under care.
Colonel Diego Pesqueira, spokesman for the National Police, explained that investigators are analysing different hypotheses in order to establish with precision the circumstances of the incident and provide a conclusive report.
As part of the investigative process, surveillance camera footage from the area was collected and other evidence of interest was gathered to clarify the case.
The institution stated that the incident is being treated, for the moment, as a conflict under investigation, and that it will offer further details as the investigation progresses.
