Officers of the National Police seized three firearms in different sectors of the municipality of Santo Domingo Norte, including a Smith & Wesson pistol, a Colt and a Maverick 12-gauge shotgun.

Units of the National Police carried out various operations in the municipality of Santo Domingo Norte, during which they succeeded in seizing three firearms. The interventions took place in different areas of the territory and also included the retention of motorcycles without documentation and the detention of several people for investigative purposes.
In one of the procedures, officers arrested an individual identified as Antoni Junior Deñó. During the action, a Smith & Wesson pistol was seized from him, along with its magazine and two rounds of ammunition. The detainee will be turned over to justice for the offence of unlawful carrying of a firearm.
In another intervention carried out in the Cristal neighbourhood, agents recovered a second pistol, this time a Colt brand. The weapon included its magazine and seven cartridges.
Likewise, in the Enriquillo sector, officers seized a Maverick brand shotgun, 12-gauge, which contained five cartridges. This action was carried out in response to a citizen complaint about noise pollution in the area.
During the various operations, several people with suspicious behaviour were taken to police stations. Among those intervened were motorcycle drivers who were not carrying the required documentation, as well as individuals who were disturbing public order.
The authorities highlighted that these operations are part of ongoing actions aimed at reinforcing security for citizens in the municipality.
