The National Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office arrested three minors alleged to be responsible for the murder of merchant Francisco Antonio Reyes Plasencia, 56, in the Pueblo Nuevo sector of Los Alcarrizos.

Agents of the National Police, in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office, detained three young minors who were linked to the crime of merchant Francisco Antonio Reyes Plasencia, known as "Pony", 56 years old. The incident was recorded on Monday, 29 June in the Pueblo Nuevo zone, in the municipality of Los Alcarrizos.
The adolescents, who had outstanding arrest warrants, were handed over to investigative authorities and will subsequently be referred to the specialised judicial body as appropriate.
According to initial evidence gathered by investigators, those arrested acted together with two other people, including Francis Martínez, 21, who remains at large. The group allegedly took the life of Reyes Plasencia in order to steal cash, clothing, debit or credit cards, the keys to his commercial establishment, and his motor vehicle. The latter was found by police officers in the El Café de Herrera zone, located in Santo Domingo Oeste.
The law enforcement institution stated that investigations are ongoing jointly with the Public Prosecutor's Office. Among the lines of inquiry is the review of data linked to a possible sexual exploitation network, whilst efforts are being intensified to locate the whereabouts of the other participants in the crime.
