The individuals who presented themselves to the authorities were Eudis Martínez Henríquez, 21 years old, nicknamed "El Pana"; Anneudy Rafael Cabrera Henríquez, 19 years old, known as "Cocote"; and a boy of 16 years old. The three had been the subject of an intensive manhunt since the previous weekend, when a violent altercation broke out at the premises where the deceased was working.
The person who died was identified as Joel Rivera Heredia, a young man of 24 years whom his acquaintances called "King". According to investigators' findings, the confrontation that ended fatally arose from a social altercation. During the scuffle, the delivery worker was seriously injured with a sharp object, injuries that proved fatal according to confirmation by the forensic expert.
Officers indicated that the three alleged perpetrators arrived at the Regional Investigation Subdivision (DICRIM) escorted by relatives, driven by the pressure of the operations deployed and the proximity of the agents tasked with locating them. They were subsequently handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office so that corresponding legal proceedings could be initiated. Detectives continue investigating to determine whether there were additional accomplices in the crime.
Diego Pesqueira, spokesman for the military institution, disclosed the details of the case through his social media profiles. He explained that the brothers' appearance materialised as a result of tracking and investigation actions carried out, which included the dissemination of images of the fugitives and joint work with local residents.
The police authority emphasised that it maintains patrols and controls in Santiago and other provinces of the country, with the aim of reducing violence figures and clarifying crimes that occurred in recent dates.
