A group of three brothers presented themselves voluntarily to the National Police in Santiago de los Caballeros on Sunday, accused of killing a food delivery worker during a physical altercation.
The victim was identified as Joel Rivera Heredia, 24 years old, nicknamed "King". The incident occurred on Saturday night in the Hato Mayor area, in the midst of a physical confrontation, according to reporting by the outlet El Nacional.
Those implicated are two adults and a 16-year-old adolescent, whose identity remains protected as he is a minor. The adults are named Eudis Martínez Henríquez, 21, nicknamed "El Pana", and Anneudy Rafael Cabrera Henríquez, 19, known as "Cocote".
Police sources indicated that the constant police cordon and intelligence investigations forced the fugitives to decide to surrender, arranged through close relatives.
Previously, the three had reportedly fled to the capital, Santo Domingo, seeking to evade capture. From there they were transferred to be handed over to the competent authorities of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
