Three 9-millimetre calibre pistols, magazines and 698 cartridges of various calibres were seized from a residence in the Urdesa district of Guayaquil during a National Police raid, according to reports from teleamazonas.com.
The operation was carried out as part of Operation Zero Impunity 27-811. Officers entered the property and located ballistic material distributed as follows: 300 cartridges of .22 calibre, 200 of .12 calibre, 100 of .32 calibre, 46 of .38 calibre, 30 of 9 mm calibre and 22 of .380 calibre.
Evidence was collected to continue investigations aimed at establishing the origin of the weapons and their possible use.
Authorities have not specified whether any arrests were made during the raid.
