Man shot dead in Villa Bonita residential area, north of Guayaquil
A man was attacked by gunfire whilst on his motorcycle in Villa Bonita, Guayaquil. Individuals in a vehicle opened fire and fled the scene.
Armed attack leaves one dead in Villa Bonita, northern sector of Guayaquil
According to extra.ec, on the night of Monday, 1 June, a man was shot dead in the Villa Bonita sector, a residential area located in the north of Guayaquil.
The attack occurred around 20:30. The victim, who was moving on a motorcycle, had stopped at the side of a bridge in the area, near commercial establishments in the sixth stage of the residential complex.
At that moment, individuals who arrived in a car opened fire against the motorcyclist and fired several shots at him. Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene.
Several residents were in nearby establishments at the time of the incident. Upon hearing the gunfire, they ran to take shelter. No other victims were reported.
Police officers who arrived at the scene collected approximately six ballistic pieces of evidence and proceeded with the removal of the body. On Tuesday, neighbours placed a candle at the site in memory of the deceased.
