Police seize weapons and 698 cartridges at Urdesa residence, Guayaquil

Operation in Urdesa uncovers arsenal with hundreds of munitions
According to eluniverso.com, Interior Minister John Reimberg reported on Tuesday 25 August about the seizure of an arsenal at a residence located in the Urdesa sector, in north Guayaquil.
The operation, called Zero Impunity 27-811, was carried out by the National Police. Reimberg posted two images of the seized material on his account on the social network X.
Among the items found were three 9-millimetre pistols, two magazines and five metal objects with characteristics similar to gun barrels.
The seizure also included cartridges of various calibres: 200 of calibre 12, 300 of calibre 22, 30 of 9 mm calibre, 100 of calibre 32, 22 of .380 calibre and 46 of .38 calibre, for a total of 698 cartridges seized.
As of the time of publication, authorities had not reported any arrests in connection with this operation.
