A 26-year-old man has been taken into custody by the Guardia Civil in Cuenca after being identified as the main suspect in breaking into a dwelling to commit a robbery, as well as assaulting two people who suffered serious injuries. The information has been reported by ABC.

Everything began when two people filed separate complaints with the armed force. Both accusations identified the same individual as the perpetrator of the home invasion and the physical assaults suffered by the complainants, who presented injuries of considerable severity.

From the earliest hours, officers set up a search and control operation at the points where the alleged offender was usually seen, with the intention of locating his whereabouts and executing the arrest warrant.

The detention was carried out following a call to the Operations Centre of the Commandancy that alerted to a fight in an open space. Units travelled to the indicated location and, among those involved in the disturbance, located the wanted man. Officers arrested him immediately and took him to police facilities.

Subsequently, the detainee was taken before the First Instance Court that was on duty in San Clemente, accompanied by the documentation gathered during the investigation.
