Civil Guard officers arrested a motorist on the CH-2 road near Encinarejo who was transporting 560 grammes of cannabis buds vacuum-sealed in packaging.

A driver was arrested on the CH-2 road, in the vicinity of Encinarejo (Córdoba), after attempting to evade a Civil Guard checkpoint with suspicious manoeuvres. When officers stopped the vehicle, they noticed a strong aroma of cannabis and nervous behaviour from the occupant.
The man voluntarily handed over a small amount of cannabis, claiming it was everything he was carrying. The uniformed officers, however, expanded their search of the vehicle due to the evidence of a much more intense smell.
Underneath the front seats they discovered two hermetically sealed bags containing buds. The total weight reached 560 grammes, prepared for commercial distribution.
The arrested man was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities for an alleged drug trafficking offence.
