Detained with drugs and crossbow in Cordovilla
According to navarra.okdiario.com, Navarra's Civil Guard detained a 58-year-old man in Cordovilla, in the Pamplona Basin, as the suspected author of drug trafficking. Officers located 396 grammes of speed, cocaine, cash and a crossbow with projectiles in his vehicle.
The intervention occurred on 4 November during a preventative operation in the Cordovilla industrial estate. Officers from the Citizen Security Unit detected that the driver changed direction upon noticing the police presence.
After identifying the driver, the man voluntarily handed over a small amount of cocaine that he was carrying. A search of the vehicle revealed a significantly larger quantity of substances: 391 grammes of speed and 8 grammes of cocaine, along with utensils for drug distribution. Officers also seized 530 euros in cash and discovered the crossbow in the boot.
The driver was detained as the suspected person responsible for an offence against public health. Once transferred to the Pamplona Command headquarters, a second inspection was carried out with Fox, a dog specialised in drug detection.
The canine located two precision scales and five additional grammes of speed hidden under the vehicle's ashtray. This finding brought the total quantity of speed seized to 396 grammes. The operation also made it possible to confiscate the 8 grammes of cocaine located, the small amount voluntarily handed over, the 530 euros and the crossbow with its projectiles.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Pamplona duty court. The proceedings were conducted by the Pamplona Civil Guard Main Post and forwarded to the judicial authority.
