– We have managed to interview two eyewitnesses, and the interviews will continue, says Vasara.
The car driver is suspected of serious offences: endangering traffic safety and gross negligence causing death. According to preliminary information, the car drove towards the moped on a straight road.
The car driver is an adult, but according to police, only recently crossed the threshold into adulthood. They will be questioned after other witnesses.
The car's passenger and driver were physically unharmed. The weather was favourable at the time of the incident, and neither alcohol nor drugs played any role in what occurred.
Police already have an understanding of how the accident unfolded, but details have not been released to the public at this time.
