Ostrobothnia police arrested a man from Maalahti during the night between Wednesday and Thursday from a residence located in Petolahti. He is suspected of attempted murder, firearms offence, and intimate partner violence.
The emergency services centre received a report to a private residence at three o'clock in the morning. According to the caller, the man was behaving in a threatening manner.
According to police, the man attempted to kill the other people in the residence before the authorities arrived at the scene. He is also suspected of threatening them with a firearm.
The case is being investigated at present as attempted murder, firearms offence, and reckless handling. The charges may be refined further as the preliminary investigation progresses.
