Suspect allegedly touched children in public places in May and June
According to Lansi-savo.fi, Eastern Finland Police are investigating two suspected sexual offences in which an adult man is alleged to have touched minors for sexual purposes in Mikkeli and Ristiina.
According to crime commissioner Arto Heimonen, the acts took place in public outdoor areas during May and June. The man suspected of the offences has been remanded in custody. Police consider it possible that there may be further similar cases.
According to Lansi-savo.fi, the suspect was previously convicted of aggravated rape of a child in Uusimaa in 2021.
Police are asking anyone who has been a victim of similar acts in Ristiina or Mikkeli in recent months to contact them by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 029 5415 232.
