The Thionville district court examined on Monday, 1 June the case of a mother accused of violence against her children. Four children, born respectively in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2013, suffered abuse between 2020 and 2025. The four siblings were present in the Simone-Veil courtroom to follow the proceedings.

During the hearing, two audio extracts were shown to the court. The absence of images did not prevent the judiciary from grasping the horror of the situation: the screams and repeated impacts recorded on 27 March 2026 were sufficient to evoke scenes of brutality. The adolescents listened to these recordings in an atmosphere of solemnity, with testimony revealing years of mistreatment.
