Demoglideou: Further arrests not ruled out in basketball tax evasion, Pizza Fan and 'Choriátiko' cases
The police spokesperson did not rule out further arrests in the three tax evasion cases. Any involvement of a public official will be referred to the judiciary.

Investigations into tax evasion: possibility of further arrests in three cases remains open
The Greek Police do not rule out further arrests and criminal prosecutions within the framework of investigations involving the basketball sector, Pizza Fan, and 'Choriátiko'. According to Ta Nea, the police spokesperson, Konstantía Demoglideou, spoke about the progress of the cases on the programme 'Proïnés Diadromés'.
Basketball case: Statements and digital evidence
In the case connected to the basketball sector, the police completed the transfer of the arrested individuals to the prosecutor and subsequently to the investigating judge. In three of the six residences searched, sums of money were found, whilst mobile phones and other items were confiscated.
For the examination of the mobile phones, the Greek Police await instructions from the responsible investigating judge regarding the handling of digital evidence. Demoglideou clarified that no relevant order has been given so far, whilst she noted that after the statements of the accused, new information may emerge.
When directly asked about the possibility of further arrests, the police spokesperson did not rule out any scenario, emphasising that the Greek Police await guidance from the judiciary for its assistance in further investigation.
Pizza Fan: Focus on alleged failure to issue receipts
In the Pizza Fan case, the main accused were to be brought before the investigating judge for their statements. The investigation focuses on the alleged failure to issue valid receipts. The telephone switchboard, software and other digital data were confiscated, which are expected to be examined in order to clarify how the mechanism operated.
Demoglideou clarified that in the context of this particular case, no premises or business has been sealed.
'Choriátiko': Large volume of evidence — possibility of public official involvement remains open
In the 'Choriátiko' case, the police spokesperson referred to the significant volume of collected evidence: data from lawful telephone interceptions, witness testimonies, physical surveillance and investigative penetration.
She placed particular emphasis on the possibility of involvement of a public official. "If in any way whatsoever, even through mere information, either a colleague of mine or any other public official is implicated, they will subsequently be called by the judiciary and there will be corresponding prosecutions," she said characteristically.
Investigations continue
Demoglideou left open the possibility of further revelations, noting that investigations proceed where there is information, complaints, available material or prosecutorial orders. At the same time, she assured that the responsible department will continue to pursue those who may be involved in criminal activity, even in cases where the investigation does not initially lead to the attribution of responsibility.
