The Budapest Court of Appeal has finalized sentences of 14 and 15 years imprisonment for two men who brutally killed an acquaintance in October 2022 in District VIII.
Conviction upheld in Kisfaludy Street homeless murder case
The Budapest Court of Appeal has made a final ruling in the case in which two men living on the street brutally killed one of their acquaintances in an October 2022 incident at a property in District VIII. The attackers inflicted such severe assault that, according to medical examination, they essentially shattered their victim's body.
The victim was in a life-threatening condition for hours before he died from his injuries. In court, the two perpetrators pointed the finger at each other and admitted to only a few blows from what happened.
Gábor Csiha, spokesman for the Budapest Court of Appeal Prosecutors' Office, told 24.hu that the first defendant was sentenced to 14 years strict imprisonment – two years less than imposed at first instance – while the second defendant received a final sentence of 15 years.
The crime occurred on 9 October 2022.
