NCA support fraud: Tax Authority detains two further suspects
Financial investigators from the National Tax and Customs Authority have arrested two additional individuals in connection with the 17 billion forint NCA case. The suspects obtained 80 million forints for documentary film production, which they never completed.

Financial investigators from the National Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) have detained two additional individuals in criminal proceedings connected to subsidies exceeding 17 billion forints paid out by the National Cultural Fund – the NAV announced on Monday to MTI. According to 24.hu, the case represents a new chapter in the broader NCA investigation.
The suspects applied for over 80 million forints in grant funding in the name of an economic entity for documentary film production at the National Cultural Support Administrator (NKTK). The company accounted for the received sum in April 2026, although the film had not actually been completed by the time of the accounting report.
"The applicant company concealed the lack of film completion by obtaining falsified content invoices, some of which originated from an entity owned by the person who submitted the application," the NAV stated.
The authority is conducting criminal proceedings in the case for the offence of budget fraud and the misdemeanour of using forged private documents.
