The Financial Police have arrested six Albanian citizens as part of an investigation launched following a major drug seizure that occurred in Foligno in January 2025, according to rainews.it. On that occasion, 65 kg of cocaine were found in a commercial premises, hidden also in the false ceiling.
The investigation had uncovered a criminal association composed of seven Albanians and an Italian, the proprietor of the premises. The six new precautionary measures comprise four custodial sentences in prison and two house arrests, the latter against two mothers with minor children.
Four of those under investigation reside in Foligno, two in Florence. According to investigators, the Umbrian city is confirmed as the operational base of the group, with branches in various Italian regions and contacts also in Perugia.
