Teenager's phone shot at with air rifle in Domeikava – suspect identified
On the afternoon of 5 June in Domeikava, Kaunas District, a dangerous incident occurred in which a shot was allegedly fired from a passing vehicle with an air rifle at a mobile phone held in the hands of a minor.
The fifteen-year-old teenager, to whom the device belonged, suffered no physical injuries. However, the phone was damaged.
Officers of Kaunas District Police Headquarters began clarifying the circumstances of the incident. Having gathered and analysed the available information, investigators identified a possible shooter – a nineteen-year-old young man living in Kaunas District.
The suspect has been charged with breach of public order. The pre-trial investigation is overseen by prosecutors from the 4th department of Kaunas District Prosecutor's Office of Kaunas Regional Prosecutor's Office.
