Investigators from the Nemunas Police Commissariat in Kaunas are investigating a case in which goods were taken from a shopping centre without payment. The information was published by Delfi, citing a statement from Kaunas District Police.
It is suspected that the thefts occurred on two consecutive evenings – on 12 January at around 10 p.m. and the following evening at the same time. The affected shop is located on the city's main thoroughfare – Karaliaus Mindaugo Avenue. The losses are valued at nearly three hundred euros.
Security cameras captured an individual whom officers would like to question. They are appealing for public assistance – if anyone recognises this person, knows where he might be, or has other useful information, they are asked to call +370 700 65 075 or email [email protected].
If guilt is proven, the actions may be subject to the Criminal Code provisions on taking another's property. Possible sanctions range from a fine to arrest. Prosecutors from the Kaunas District are overseeing the progress of the investigation.
