Brutal execution at a party in Kėdainiai: emigrant and victim's half-sister stand trial
A 38-year-old man was killed at a company gathering in Kėdainiai. 46-year-old Dalius Barkauskas, who recently returned from Norway, is charged with murder, whilst the victim's half-sister Sandra Brinkienė is charged with assault causing injury.

A court in Kėdainiai is hearing an extremely brutal murder case in which 38-year-old Mantas P. was killed at a company gathering. This was reported by Lrytas.lt.
The incident occurred in a flat on J. Basanavičiaus street where a group was "celebrating" the return from Norway of 46-year-old Dalius Barkauskas. According to court records, the victim was struck at least sixteen times with fists and feet to the head, chest and other parts of his body. The unconscious man was then dragged into the stairwell of the apartment building.
The next day, neighbours found a person without signs of life on the landing and called an ambulance. Medical staff confirmed death at the scene.
Charges have been brought against two individuals in the case. D. Barkauskas, who had been living in Norway for the last few months before the crime, is charged with murder. This is the seventeenth time this man has found himself in the dock. The woman, 45-year-old Sandra Brinkienė, the victim's half-sister, has been charged with assault causing injury to her relative. According to criminalists' assessment, the blows she inflicted on her relative were not fatal.
The investigation revealed that both suspects had been under the influence of alcohol. S. Brinkienė was particularly heavily intoxicated – a blood alcohol level of 3.84 per mille was recorded in her blood. Moreover, according to case records, D. Barkauskas used narcotic substances after the murder.
