Ten undocumented migrants were found in a car that went off the road during a police pursuit in Vilkaviškio district. The driver is a Moldovan citizen.

In Vilkaviškio district, near Šeškiai, a car being pursued by police left the road and overturned. Officers found ten undocumented migrants inside the vehicle – eight adults and two minors.
The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 22:30. The driver of a "Hyundai Santa Fe" ignored police signals to stop and attempted at high speed to pass through a roadblock formed by service vehicles. At that point, the car left the road and overturned.
The driver, born in 1999 and holding Moldovan citizenship, was injured in the crash. He was transported to a hospital in Kaunas. All passengers were also taken to medical facilities.
The Police Department reported that a pre-trial investigation has been initiated. Details regarding the origin of the migrants or potential organisers have not yet been provided.
