Lithuanian police have detained a well-known doctor in the country linked to the murder of Manto Sadauskas, an emergency medical technician. The detainee is the father of Justina, a previously detained suspect, according to a report by the PMO.

In April this year, a search was launched in Lithuania for the medical technician. Following an operation that lasted a day, the man was found dead. His car had been hidden in a forest and was discovered with the help of a border guard helicopter. The remains themselves were found wrapped in a tarpaulin and buried.

The technician had suffered severe injuries – he had been beaten on the head, face, legs, hands and other parts of the body. The victim's father is convinced that his son was brutally tortured and died from a gunshot wound.

The search for the man and the mysterious circumstances of his death generated considerable interest in Lithuania. Shortly afterwards, on suspicion of committing a crime, two people were detained – a man and a woman, Sadauskas's former wife Justina. Two and a half months after the tragedy, police detained another person – the aforementioned well-known doctor.
