Migrant smuggler in Vilkaviškis district crashes during police pursuit
On the evening of 25 June, at approximately 22:04, police officers in Pilviškiai, Vilkaviškis district, attempted to check a Hyundai Santa Fe. The vehicle's driver did not obey the stopping signal and drove away at high speed.
Officers initiated a pursuit. The fleeing driver's attempt to evade apprehension ended in a traffic accident. At the scene of the incident, it was revealed that the vehicle was transporting ten foreign nationals who had no legal grounds to be on Lithuanian territory.
