Police report on drunk drivers, collision and violence in the region
Marijampolė District Police Headquarters (MAVPK) has reported several recent incidents in the district, according to suvalkietis.lt.
Yesterday at around 15:00 in Marijampolė at the intersection of Vytauto and Viltis streets, a collision occurred: a Kawasaki Z750 motorcycle driven by a man (born 1999) collided with an Audi A6. The latter vehicle was driven by a drunk man (born 1969) – he was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.64 per mille. The injured motorcycle driver was taken to a medical facility.
On 28 September in the town of Igliaukos, a BMW vehicle crashed into a house fence. It was established that the vehicle was possibly driven by a man (born 1975), who was found to have a blood alcohol level of as high as 3.02 per mille. The vehicle was towed to a storage facility.
On the same day, at around 23:00 in Jurbarkas on Žemaitės street, an unidentified person smashed the windows of a residential house belonging to a woman (born 1958). Material damage of 500 euros was caused.
On 27 September at 21:00 in Vilkaviškis on S. Nėries street, two men (born 2007 and 2000) attacked and assaulted a man (born 2000).
Pre-trial investigations have been opened into all the aforementioned incidents, MAVPK reports.
