Neringa Mayor: Interior Ministry Account Users Collected Data About Me and My Wife
Neringa Mayor Darius Jasaitis claims to be a victim of mass data scraping from the Register Centre. The Interior Ministry has not responded to his inquiry from February.

Mayor: Interior Ministry Account Users Collected Data About Our Property
Neringa Mayor Darius Jasaitis announced that he is among the first victims of mass data scraping from the Register Centre, according to 15min.
Jasaitis learned of the unauthorised data collection in February when he decided to check his account in the Register Centre's self-service portal. At that time, he noticed that data about his and his spouse's real estate were being collected from accounts belonging to the Interior Ministry (VRM) or its institutions – this, according to the mayor, took place in January.
"On 18–19 February, when we logged into our registry data, we see: the Interior Ministry is browsing through all our data," Jasaitis told 15min.
The mayor said that at the end of February he contacted the Interior Ministry, but has not received a response. He was also surprised by some strange details related to the timing of the data collection, and, in his words, the ministry's cool reaction.
Jasaitis recalls that before previous elections he encountered a similar situation, though at that time specific individuals were identified who had attempted to use the collected information.
Seimas member Jekaterina Rojaka also publicly reported that her data had been leaked.
