A drunk man injured a minor in Panemunė on the night of Friday to Saturday. An investigation has been opened for violence against a child.
Drunk man assaults minor in Panemunė
In the night from Friday to Saturday, at approximately half past one in the morning, a case of violence against a child was recorded in the Panemunė settlement in Pagėgiai municipality. According to Tauragė district police, officers dispatched to the scene detained the suspected perpetrator.
It transpires that a man born in 1991, against whom there are suspicions of alcohol use, refused a medical examination and inflicted physical pain on a girl born in 2013. The minor suffered as a result of the man's aggressive behaviour.
Investigators have initiated a pre-trial investigation into causing pain or light bodily harm to a young person. The Tauragė district prosecutor's office has been assigned to oversee this criminal case.
