Drunk man beats police officer in Panevėžys: 2.09 per mille registered

Drunk man resists police on Liepų Alley
According to 15min, on Saturday at approximately 17:10 in Panevėžys on Liepų Alley, whilst police officers were detaining two intoxicated individuals for public order violations, one of them began actively resisting.
During the incident, a police officer born in 2002 from Panevėžys city and district police was injured – he received medical assistance, and the patrol was released to recover at home.
The man born in 1989 who resisted was heavily intoxicated with alcohol: he was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.09 per mille. The suspect was taken into custody, and a pre-trial investigation was initiated for resisting a police officer.
