On 10 May this year, at approximately half past five in the morning, a hooliganism incident targeting a Ukrainian symbol took place on Pylimo Street in the city centre. Several unknown individuals removed the blue and yellow flag from its fastenings, threw it onto the pavement and damaged it by trampling on it.
Vilnius police officers have launched a search and are appealing to residents for help in identifying the suspects recorded during the incident. Citizens with information are invited to contact the lead investigator Angelina Kopač from the third police precinct. She can be reached by telephone at +370 700 56709 or by email.
