Vilnius municipal officials received one thousand euros from a designer in order to speed up a multi-apartment building permit on Moluvėnų Street. The designer has already been fined.

One thousand euros paid to a capital city municipal employee helped obtain a building permit for a multi-apartment complex in Vilnius on Moluvėnų Street. This was reported on Friday by "Verslo žinios". The housing development in this location was undertaken by Seimas member Robert Puchovičius of the "Homeland" party together with partners.
Mantas Žvybas, director of "Vilnius architects" who prepared the project and provided statements to law enforcement, acknowledged passing the aforementioned sum to an official. The aim was to accelerate the approval of documents.
The Seimas member categorically denies having known about such an action. He also asserts that he did not discuss this matter with the architect. Meanwhile, the parliamentarian acknowledges that his company continues to maintain relations with M. Žvybas's firm. R. Puchovičius also does not recall conversations in which specific sums or agreements with government representatives would have been discussed.
The official permit for construction was issued on 29 June 2021, and the aforementioned funds, according to case materials, went to the employee several days later – on 2 July.
The designer himself has already been convicted of five criminal acts – he was issued a fine of 17,400 euros.
