Bribery scandal in Parliamentary deputy Puchovičius's construction project: designer admits giving €1,000
During a multi-apartment project being developed in Vilnius, a €1,000 bribe was given to municipal officials. Mantas Žvybas, head of "Vilnius Architects", admitted this to law enforcement. Parliamentary deputy Robertas Puchovičius denies knowing about it.

A payment of €1,000 to a municipal official helped obtain a permit for the construction of apartment buildings in Vilnius on Moluvėnų Street. This information was revealed to law enforcement authorities by the project developer himself – Mantas Žvybas, head of the company "Vilnius Architects", according to Verslo žinios.
According to him, he handed over the cash sum to the official so that he would approve the construction permit more quickly. The bribe was given on 2 July 2021, while the permit was issued on 29 June.
Parliamentary deputy Robertas Puchovičius is connected with this project, as his company collaborates with M. Žvybas's firm. The politician told Verslo žinios that he knew nothing about the illegal payment and had not spoken with the architect about the matter. The parliamentarian also denied asking the designer to expedite document approval through illegal means.
In statements given to law enforcement, R. Puchovičius said he did not remember conversations in which specific amounts or agreements with municipal employees would have been discussed.
According to Verslo žinios, M. Žvybas had previously been found guilty of five criminal offences and fined €17,400.
