Criminals defrauded nearly 50,000 euros from two Lithuanian residents through deception. Police reported this on Thursday.
On Wednesday in Vilnius, on Vytauto Street, a woman born in 1955 who attempted to log into online banking and entered authentication codes had 19,000 euros illegally transferred from her account to another person's account.
Meanwhile, the Šilalė District Police Commissariat received a statement from a man born in 1964. He reported that between 10 March and 27 May he invested in what purported to be a cryptocurrency platform and lost 30,000 euros through fraud.
Pre-trial investigations have been initiated in both cases.
