The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Pasruojė village, Telšiai district, has been desecrated. Holy images were scattered, stained-glass windows were smashed, and small chapels were overturned. An investigation has been launched into the desecration of a place of public veneration.

On 27 June, it was discovered that the Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Pasruojė village, Telšiai district, had been damaged. Holy images were scattered, glass stained-glass windows were smashed, and a small chapel that had been inside was overturned. A chapel pillar standing outside was torn out and thrown into the chapel, and an outdoor small chapel was also overturned.
The extent of material damage is being determined. According to the Telšiai police headquarters, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the desecration of a grave or other place of public veneration.
