Boat "Ranger RT178" stolen in Trakai district – damage reaches €24,300
A boat moored on the shore of a lake in Trakai district and expensive fishing equipment have been stolen. Police are asking for the public's assistance.
Trakai district police search for stolen boat and fishing equipment
Tv3.lt reports that officers from the Trakai district of the Vilnius Regional Police Headquarters have launched a pre-trial investigation into a high-value theft in Raudonė II village.
The boat "Ranger RT178" went missing between 26 May at 15:00 and 2 June at 14:00 – it had been moored to the lake shore in Trakai municipality, Trakai district. Along with the boat, valuable equipment on board was also stolen: a Yamaha petrol engine, an ePropulsion electric motor, a Garmin fishing computer and fishing tackle.
According to preliminary data, the victim has suffered property damage of approximately €24,300.
Residents who have information about the stolen boat or individuals who may have been involved in the theft are asked to contact Jona Banuškevičius, the chief investigator at Trakai district police headquarters, without delay on +370 700 65425 or by email [email protected].
