Residents of Vilnius's Užupis district report a dangerous individual who attacks women and tourists. The man is reported to be carrying dangerous items in his pockets. Last week he assaulted and seriously injured two women. The number of victims is growing over time.

On the initiative of one Vilnius resident, information about this person was published on the social network Facebook. Several photographs and a warning to residents are being shared. "This person assaulted and seriously injured two women in Užupis a few days ago. He carries dangerous items in his pockets. Yesterday he was walking around Užupis again. Lithuanian police, we do not feel safe in our district at the moment. We ask everyone to share this information," the message reads.

One of the victims says that police explained that the suspect is not yet being searched for because no case has been opened. A statement was filed on Thursday evening, although the incident occurred during the day. On Monday morning she called the police herself to ask why he is still at large. Officers have now assured her that he will be searched for once a case is opened. At present, information is being gathered.

Police have already begun an investigation, are gathering case materials and are consulting with the concerned community on social media. Initial case details show that among the victims there may be tourists from abroad.
