Alleged drug plants were found in a house cellar in Naujieji Valkininkai village. A man born in 1995 was detained and a pre-trial investigation has been opened.

According to tv3.lt, on Wednesday in Varėna district, in Naujieji Valkininkai village, alleged drug plants were found being cultivated in a house cellar, along with a bag containing an alleged narcotic substance.
Alytus regional police detained a suspect born in 1995. A pre-trial investigation has been opened into possession of narcotics without the intention to distribute them.
On the same day, Alytus regional police opened another investigation – this time in Prienai district, in Jiezno Kolonijos village. During a night check of a passenger in a Toyota Prius vehicle, officers found five white-coloured fragments believed to be narcotics and 3,090 euros in cash. A suspect born in 1995 was also detained.
