On 24 June in Vilnius, unknown individuals, impersonating employees of a telecommunications company, a bank and police officers, defrauded a woman of €10,000. Police are appealing for public assistance in identifying a young man visible in the photograph.

The third police precinct of Vilnius city is investigating a fraud case in which a woman lost a substantial sum of money.

On 24 June, at approximately 11 o'clock in the morning, unknown individuals called a woman residing in the capital. They impersonated employees of a telecommunications company, bank specialists and police officers. Taking advantage of the woman's trust, they managed to obtain €10,000 from her. She handed over the money to a young man who arrived at her home, whom she had not met before.

Police are now appealing for public assistance. Members of the public who recognise the person visible in the photograph are urged to contact immediately the chief investigator Aleksandra Gavrolienė of the first operations division of the third police precinct of Vilnius city. This can be done by telephone +370 671 90034, by email or by calling the emergency number 112.
