Two major thefts were committed in Vilnius in one day. A safe containing more than 46,000 euros was stolen from an apartment, and a company received an empty consignment of diamonds.
Two major thefts committed in Vilnius in one day
The capital recorded two major robberies in one day. The total damage caused exceeded 58,000 euros.
In the first case, on Tuesday, at around midday, an apartment on Smalinės Street was broken into. Gold jewellery and a safe disappeared from it, which contained 46,042 euros held in safekeeping. The exact amount of damage is still being calculated.
The second crime also occurred on Tuesday. In a consignment sent to a company, which was supposed to contain precious stones, the box turned out to be empty. The value of the diamonds was over 12,000 euros.
Law enforcement is investigating both thefts.
