Illegal swords and daggers found in Vilnius: man threatened 84-year-old woman with knife
Vilnius police discovered illegally held swords, daggers and machetes in a flat on Gedvydžių Street. A protective order was issued against the suspect.

According to delfi.lt, on Wednesday at 15.10, the Vilnius district chief police commissariat received a report from an 84-year-old woman (born 1942). She stated that a man in a flat on Gedvydžių Street had threatened her with a knife.
Upon arrival, officers removed the suspect's (born 1968) legally held firearms from the flat – a Glock pistol and a gas revolver. Additionally, illegally held non-firearm weapons were discovered: swords, knives, daggers and machetes.
The suspect was issued a protective order against domestic violence, requiring him to vacate the flat.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated concerning the illegal possession of a non-firearm weapon. Under Lithuanian law, anyone who illegally manufactures or sells non-firearm weapons faces a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment of up to one year.
