On Saturday in the city centre on Pylimo Street, someone daubed the entrance doors of the Lithuanian Jewish Community's premises with red paint – possibly lip cosmetic. The incident was recorded at approximately 16:35.
The Police Department reported the incident on Sunday. Case materials were collected regarding possible incitement against a national, racial, ethnic, religious or other group of people. This crime is provided for in the Criminal Code.
It is not yet known whether officers have already identified suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
