Officers detained a man born in 2005 in the Paupio microdistrict of the capital on Monday morning. During a raid conducted on Krivūlės Street at approximately 6 in the morning, police seized 103 packets containing various substances from the man.
Among the items found were 49 polyethylene bags with white powder, 3 packets with crystallised substance and 51 vacuum-sealed bags containing substances. Experts will need to determine whether these substances are narcotics.
The detainee was remanded in custody. A pre-trial investigation has been opened under the Criminal Code on suspicion of unauthorised possession of narcotic substances without the purpose of distribution. For this offence, the penalty provided is public works, a fine, restricted liberty, arrest, or deprivation of liberty for up to two years.
