Cocaine, cannabis and laughing gas seized at Malta Airport after tip-off
A man and woman were arrested at Malta International Airport on Wednesday night on suspicion of drug trafficking after an anonymous tip-off to police.

Two arrested at Malta Airport departures hall in drug trafficking operation
maltatoday.com.mt reports that police arrested a 33-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman at Malta International Airport late Wednesday night following an anonymous call received at around 11pm, in which a caller alleged the pair were selling drugs in the departures hall.
Officers were given a description of the suspects and located them on the airport's lower floor shortly afterwards. Security camera footage was reviewed, leading police to a vehicle parked in the airport car park.
A search of the vehicle uncovered four sachets of suspected cocaine, two sachets of suspected cannabis, and seven suspected ecstasy pills. Officers also found 54 bottles of nitrous oxide — commonly known as laughing gas — and approximately €1,000 in cash.
Both suspects are expected to appear in court on Friday at around 12:45pm before Magistrate Franco Agius.
