Young man detained in Sintra for distributing hashish by motorcycle using app
A 25-year-old individual was detained in the municipality of Sintra on suspicion of involvement in the trafficking of narcotic substances. The youth used a digital platform on his mobile phone to coordinate the collection and distribution operations for hashish.
Deliveries were carried out by motorcycle. Each service earned the young man 11 euros. The illegal activity is believed to have begun at the start of the current year.
On Saturday, during a routine check of the suspect's vehicle, PSP officers found 18 sachets containing hashish, totalling 149.94 grams. The substance was scheduled to be distributed in Belas. The officers also seized 3,155 euros in cash.
The Sintra court applied the precautionary measure of pre-trial detention to the detainee.
