Cocaine and cannabis worth €310k seized in Carrigtwohill raid, man charged

A man in his 20s has been charged following the seizure of more than €310,000 worth of drugs at a domestic residence in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, irishexaminer.com reports.
Gardaí from the Midleton Crime Unit, supported by the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit and other regional units, carried out a search under warrant at the property on Wednesday, 16 September, as part of ongoing operations targeting criminality in the region.
Officers seized more than two kilograms of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value in excess of €200,000. Vacuum-packed packages of suspected cannabis, valued at more than €112,000, were also recovered at the scene.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the property and brought to a garda station in the Cork County Division. He has since been charged and was due to appear before Midleton District Court on Wednesday morning at 10.30am.
